He was born August 28, 1933 in Colton, Ohio to the late Robert J. and Alice H. (Starkey) Sperry.
He is survived by a sister, Rita (Jim) Colon of Wauseon; brothers, Gary Sperry of Fallston, MD and Dennis (Connie) Sperry of Wauseon; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Sperry of Napoleon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Rodney Sperry and a sister-in-law, Linda Sperry.
Robert owned and operated both Bob's Pizza in Napoleon for 16 years and the Kid Kloset Clothing Store for 4 years. Bob worked at Campbell's Soup for 7 years and served in the U.S. Air Force for 9 years. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Napoleon Lions Club, a trustee of the Napoleon Revitalization and co-founder of the Downtown Merchants Association.
Visitation for Mr. Sperry will take place Wednesday April 20, 2016 from 10:00 a.m.- Noon at Snyder-Wesche-Hoening Funeral Home, Napoleon where a Funeral Service will take place at Noon with Pastor Ben Sheaffer presiding. Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.
Memorials are suggested to Fulton Manor or the Relay for Life of Fulton County.
