Alice-Ruth Fuller, 95, of Hughesville, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Emmanuel Center in Danville.
Born December 22, 1920 in Woodbury, CT, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Raymond A. and Lillian Stark (Hatfield) Fowles. She married the late Carson A. Baxter, who preceded her in death on May 18, 1993. She later married the late, John W. Fuller, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2013.
Alice was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School, Class of 1938. She then attended the Robert Packer Training School for Nurses, graduating in 1942, and later attended Bloomsburg University, graduating in 1971. Alice was employed as a Public Health Nurse, working in New Canaan, CT for 20 years.
She is survived by three sons, John A. Baxter of Linfield, Scott F. Baxter of West Port, MA and Samuel C. Baxter of Brewster, MA; a step-son, John D. Fuller of CT; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one step granddaughter.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Robert, Theodore, Hatfield, and Dexter Fowles; and a sister, Helena Kaiser.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
