Darlington - Carla Sue Bryant, 49, of Darlington died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington.

Carla was born in Darlington County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. Bryant, Sr. and Sue Carolyn "Boots" Bryant. She attended Darlington Academy and was a 1984 graduate of St. John's High School. She briefly attended Francis Marion College.

Carla was employed by McLeod Regional Medical Center as a biller and coder for 10 years. More recently, she worked as a security guard at Magnolia Mall in Florence and at the Darlington County Detention Center.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Carol V. Odom and Kathleen Dutton Odom of Darlington; and her father and mother.

Surviving are her brother, Robert L. "Bobby" Bryant, Jr. of Columbia; her beloved cat, Patches; and numerous cousins.
