Peggy Rae Tryon made her transition on December 19, 2014, after an extended illness while a resident at Union County Nursing Home, Blairsville, GA. Born at Fernandina Beach March 11, 1936. She is predeceased by parents, Ray & Grace Tryon; Two sisters, Florence Burris and Beverly Moore, Orlando, Florida and brother-in-law, P.L. Moore, & Chet Burris Sr., Orlando, Florida. She is also predeceased by nephews: Kenny Burris, Doug Burris, Lee Moore and niece, Xandy Moore.
Survivors include a large adoring family including niece Beverly Moore and partner, Richard Gibson, Blairsville, GA nephews: Jim Moore Sr. of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Dan Moore and partner Susan Stoddard of Orlando and New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She is also survived by nephews Chet and wife Becky Burris, Orlando, Florida and Ray Burris and wife Sandy of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Also surviving is niece Debbie Jeffries of Blairsville, GA and niece Debby Snipes and husband, Chip of Orlando, Florida.
Peggy is also survived by great nephews; Jim Moore Jr. & Wife Stephanie, Hobe Sound, Florida; Chris Moore, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Great nephew, Adam Moore and wife Shauna of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and great niece Abby Grace Skinner and husband Kevin of Orlando, Florida.
Peggy lived in Orlando, Florida and was a faithful member of Park Lake Presbyterian Church. Eight years ago she moved to Blairsville and attended Unity Church of the Mountains. If you met Peggy you knew you were blessed! She never met a stranger and in her childlike innocence, with dazzling smile she told everyone I love you! Let us all celebrate her life by continuing to live her legacy: Unconditional love for everyone regardless of skin color, age, status, and while laughing all the way. Peggy’s words were “ I Love You”. A Celebration of Life Service will be held after the holidays.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Unity Church of the Mountains. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
