Carrie Elaine Cat Hunt, 60, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on April 10, 2016. She was born on Oct. 15, 1955, in Wetampka, Alaska, to Levorn Hunt and Charles Mitchell. Carrie joined Lyon's Chapel at an early age. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Martha C. Hunt and nephew, Marco Hunt. She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Levorn Hunt; father, Charles Mitchell; sisters, Alizean Hunt and LueJennie Johnson; two nieces, three nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Lyon's Chapel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
