A graveside service for Catherine Ellen Allen of Billings, Mont., a former resident of the Portland area, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Rose City Cemetery .

She died of causes related to age Sunday in a Billings care center. Mrs. Allen was 82.

She was born April 22, 1909, in Portland. Her maiden name was Hoke. She attended school in the Portland area and married Clifford Allen on June 28, 1938.

A sales representative, Mrs. Allen worked for Pacific Northwest Bell for 41 years until her retirement in 1969. Following her retirement, she spent the winters in Arizona and moved to Montana about seven years ago. Her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Waldron Luck of Banks; and three nieces.
