Stella B. Isaacs, 75, of Hickory, NC, formerly of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, on Friday, December 23, 2016, in the Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton, NC. She was the daughter of the late Zeno and Georgia Mae Vines Black and was born in Carter County, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie “G.W.” Isaacs, a daughter, two sons and a brother.

Mrs. Isaacs loved to crochet and she made quilts, as well as breeding and raising poodles. She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church in Hickory, NC and was retired from Regal Manufacturing in Hickory, where she worked for twenty-seven years.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Roger Isaacs and Josh Isaacs, both of Newton, NC; several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Bunton, Elizabethton; and three brothers, Zeno Black, Jr. and his wife, Teresa; Jim Black, and Danny Black, all of Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A service to honor the life of Stella B. Isaacs will be conducted at 7:00 PM, on Monday, December 26, 2016, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Music will be under the direction of The Sounds of Victory and Teresa Black. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday prior to the service.

The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, in the Whitehead Cemetery in Butler, TN. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet the family at the cemetery at 10: 45 AM on Tuesday.
