John Harold Bingaman, age 89 a longtime Yale resident, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his home in Yale with his family by his side. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016 at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, OK. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Oklahoma.

John was born on February 18, 1927 in Stillwater, OK to the late John Harold and Marx Irene (Dunn) Bingaman. He grew up on the family farm that was his grandfathers and still remained living on the farm. John attended Eagle Country School and later Yale High School. John was baptized in the Methodist Church. He worked for O.S.U. at the Airport, scrapping War planes. John entered the U. S. Army in 1950 to 1952 where he served in Germany. After returning from the service, he began working the pipeline in Michigan where he met Sally Belonga. They were married on September 26, 1953 in St. Igace, Michigan. They made their home in Yale on the farm. He worked as a pipeline welder for many years. John was the oldest member of Local Union 798. He enjoyed fishing and using his scroll saw to make beautiful Christmas tree ornaments. John also later ran a saw mill where he worked with hardwood and pallet lumber. In the summers they made plugs for fireworks. John loved spending time with his family.

John is survived by his wife Sally of the home, daughters Deby Gripe of Yale, Cindi Hudgins and husband David of Yale, sister Nancy McFarland and husband J.D. of Cushing, grandchildren Cory Gripe and wife Ashley, Cody Gripe and wife Brittany, John Hudgins and wife Kelli, Josh Hudgins and Angie, Tara Humphrey, great grandchildren Eden Gripe, Addyson and Tenley Hudgins, Jayce and Easton Hudgins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Knight -and son-in-law Tommy Gripe.
