Patricia Glade Curtis died April 10, 2016 of causes incident to age.

She was born November 13, 1923 in Salt Lake City, the youngest child of Earl Joseph Glade and Sarah Elizabeth Rasband Glade. Her parents, two sisters, and four brothers all preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. LeGrand R. Curtis.

Patricia and LeGrand met at Irving Junior High and dated at the University of Utah, where Patricia was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. They married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 1, 1944. They lived in Kansas City, where LeGrand completed his DDS in 1946 and MS in orthodontics in 1948.

During part of that time, Patricia returned to the U of U to complete her B.A. in Child Development. She later served as a member and President of the Dental Auxiliary Board.

Patricia's life centered on family and church. Her frequent faithful callings caused her to spend time on Church assignments in Salt Lake City, Tallahassee, Florida; Gex, France; and as matron of the Jordan River Temple. She faithfully served with LeGrand as he served in his callings, including as a General Authority Seventy.

She was always quick with her beautiful, generous smile and a kind word, particularly in a time of need. Her example of unconditional love, grace, kindness, and caring inspired all around her. That influence will continue to bless many for years to come.

An exceptional cook, Mom treated family, missionaries, friends, and visiting Church leaders to wonderful meals. A family favorite, cranberry ice, was always a necessity with Thanksgiving meals.

Patricia loved the family cabin, "Lodge," near Woodland and shared that love with her family.

Patricia is survived by her eight children, Dr. Richard (Annette), Dr. Glade (Debbie), LeGrand Jr. (Jane), Candi (Robert) Merrell, Terrill, Sydney (Jim) Lindsley, Dr. Brent (Debi), and Rebecca (Dr. Bryan) Timmins; thirty-eight grandchildren, and eighty-four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jamie Brandt and the caring staff at the Coventry Assisted Living, and at Solstice Hospice. Patricia made many friends at the Coventry who brought her much joy.

Funeral services will be held in the Holladay North Stake Center, 4395 South Albright Drive (2145 East), Holladay, on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive (1815 East), Millcreek, and prior to the services at the church on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
