Margaret Ann "Annie" (Pillow) Wade was born on March 8, 1845 in Tennessee, and she was the daughter of General Gideon Johnson Pillow Jr (1806–1878) and Mary E (Martin) Pillow (1812–1869). [NOTE - Although Margaret Ann "Annie" (Pillow) Wade's Death Certificate has her mother as Annie (Payne) Pillow, that is not correct: Annie (Payne) Pillow (1777–1864) was the wife of Gideon Johnson Pillow Sr, whereas Gideon Johnson Pillow Jr's 1st wife (who was the mother of Margaret Ann "Annie" (Pillow) Wade) was Mary E (Martin) Pillow (1812–1869)! A little involved, perhaps, but that did need explaining.]
Annie was married on September 7, 1870 in Maury County, Tennessee to Daniel Fountain "Fount" Wade (1830–1890), and he was the son of Daniel Fountain Wade (1799–1853) and Elizabeth Ligon (Pointer) Wade (1811–1897).
Living at 1909 Broad Street, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, she was 79 years old and a widow when she died at home on September 16, 1924. Burial was the next day in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
