Marilyn Duke Williamson
1932- 2016

Early Life: Marilyn was born April 2, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ralph and Frances Nielsen Duke. She grew up in Provo, Utah, the little sister to three very protective big brothers, Lamar, Bob and Don.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On September 6, 1949, she married Maynard "Keith" Williamson and together they had three children: Craig, KerryLynn and Gary. By the time Gary was born, both of Keith's parents had passed away leaving his nine year-old sister, Sheila, alone. Marilyn asked no questions, just immediately made her a part of their family. After her children were all in school, she joined the work force and for many years worked in retail. When she retired, she was working at Brigham Young University Bookstore as the buyer for the women's clothing department. It was a defining time in her life; she enjoyed her time at BYU and met lasting friends along the way. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was often found planning homemaking meetings and teaching crafts when she was younger. She always supported her family in church and school activities. Marilyn and Keith loved to travel; whether it was touring Europe with grandkids, cruising with lifelong friends, or in their motorhome with Good Sam Club, they were together. They were married for 66 years, with family always coming first, creating special memories with all of them. They have four children, 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Add all of their spouses and that's quite a posterity. Marilyn was the center of her family and she made each and every loved one feel accepted, special and loved. She was the one to make sure they always got together for Christmas, camping trips, birthdays and just because. On the evening of April 8, 2016, Marilyn Duke Williamson, wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away surrounded by her loving family. She had just celebrated her 84th birthday.
Survived By: Her husband, Keith; her children: Craig (Diane) Williamson, KerryLynn (Leonard) Lee, Sheila (Clifford) Stubbs; daughter-in-law, Debbie Williamson; her brothers: LaMar (Elain) Duke and Don Duke; as well as her wonderful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
