Raymond Page, age 77, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016.

He was born in Joliet, the son of Cory Page and Anne Page (nee Jelinek).

Ray attended St. Mary's Nativity Grade School. He graduated from Joliet Catholic High School, Class of 1957. He earned Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Lewis University, Class of 1964 and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Marquette University.

Ray retired from Joliet Township High School as a Mathematics teacher. He built several Joliet homes with his students through the 'Building Trades Program'.

Ray enjoyed being a carpenter and was skilled in woodworking. He enjoyed reading, playing cards, traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially on vacation in Hayward, WI.

Ray was the loving husband of Jean Page for 56 years; devoted father of Greg (Becky) Page, Jill (Mike) Wise, Nikki (Tom) Knapp, Matthew (Sarah) Page, and Brian (Jessica) Page; cherished grandfather of seventeen grandchildren: Madeleine, Emily, and Mitchell Page; Jacob (Ashley), Mic, and Rayanne Wise; Brooke, Drew, Doug, and Mark Knapp; Addison, Grant, and Aubrey Page; Owen, Liam, Abigail, and Eleanor Page; proud great-grandfather of Anna Rae Wise; dear brother-in-law of Delores Page, Mary Krasovec, Lorraine Brown, Barbara Jenco, and Joe (Janis) Jencon; and loving nephew of Ann Jelinek. Ray is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Page; and sister, Shirley Page.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Food For The Poor, 6401 Lyons Road, P.O. Box 979004, Coconut Creek, FL 33073 or Wounded Warrior Project, Inc., 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256, or a charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Raymond's life will begin on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 with words of remembrance and prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:00 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
