Nancy Ann Nielsen age 63 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Nebraska Medicine - Bellevue in Bellevue, NE.
Nancy was born on January 12, 1953 to Russell Harry and Betty Jo (Wilson) Nielsen in Omaha, NE. She was raised and schooled at Plattsmouth, NE and graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1971. Then Nancy attended and graduated from University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in Education. After graduating from college, she taught for one year in Bridgeport, NE. Then Nancy spent the next thirty two years teaching at Avery Elementary School in Bellevue, NE. Nancy retired and she lived all her life in Plattsmouth and later in Mynard, NE.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star Home Chapter #189 both of Plattsmouth, Tri Delta Sorority, and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
Nancy is survived by her parents: Russell and Betty Jo Nielsen of Plattsmouth, NE; four brothers: David Nielsen and wife Mary of Plattsmouth, NE; Steve Nielsen and wife Susie of Bellevue, NE; Stuart Nielsen and wife Susie of Plattsmouth, NE; Ran Nielsen and wife Tish of Wichita, KS; thirteen nieces and nephews: Niel Nielsen and wife Julie, Marcus Nielsen and wife Marcail, Amy Mason and husband
Aaron, Dusty Nielsen and wife Jenny, Lindsay Stangl and husband Travis, Matt Carlson wife Shellie, Scott Nielsen and wife Naomi, Sherry Arch and husband Rick, Spencer Nielsen and wife Missy Iverson, Jeremy Nielsen and wife Jill, Jerrod Nielsen and wife Shannon, Zach Nielsen, and Ariann Nielsen, twenty seven great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Harry and Lillian Nielsen and Bill and Lena Hansell.

in Plattsmouth.
An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday, April 11, 2016 at Roby Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth with Pastor Carl Anderson and Pastor Portia Iverson officiating, and Carol Wehrbein as organist.
Final Resting Place will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE.
The Pallbearers will be Dusty Nielsen, Scott Nielsen, Jeremy Nielsen, Jerrod Nielsen, Zachary R. Nielsen, Trevor Nielsen, Andrew Nielsen, Zach Nielsen, and Matt Carlson.
