She was born to the late Elmer Edgar and Minnie Myrtle Brownlee on February 21, 1918 in Finley, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life Burnett Crowell, affectionately referred to as Shug, at the young age of 16 and enjoyed nearly 75 years of marriage before his passing.
Her pride and joy was being called Nana by her two grandchildren. Lorene was also a great-grandmother to three precious children, whom she spoke on the phone to each morning at 8:20, and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly, also survives her.
Living joyfully for her personal savior, Jesus Christ, Lorene was an example to all. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church of Grandview, PO Box 454, Grandview, TX 76050 or Heart to Heart Hospice, 4009 Bannister Lane, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78704. Arrangements made by Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home, Grandview, TX 76050. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00a.m. at Grandview Cemetery.
