MARSHFIELD - John W. Tilley, 86, of Green Harbor, a retired meatcutter, died Sunday at Beverly Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth.
Mr. Tilley worked for the Armour meat packing company. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Born in Boston, he was educated in Boston public schools and lived in Marshfield 54 years.
Husband of the late Mary (Shanahan) Tilley, he is survived by four sons, LIVING; three daughters, LIVING; a brother, Richard Tilley of Harwich; a sister, Helen Tilley of Braintree; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Green Harbor. Burial will be private.
