Garland Maurice Foster, 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016. He was born July 29, 1931 in Cedar Hill, Texas to Everett and Hannah Foster.

Garland was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a Methodist, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cedar Hill, had coached Little League, was a Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Shirley Williams and a brother, Billy Bob Foster.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Correne Foster of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sons, Kelly (Maria) Foster of Kingsville, Texas and Ben (Tiffany) Foster of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sisters, Patsy (Bobby) Sims of Cedar Hill, Texas and Nancy (Larry) Dean of Duncanville, Texas, sister-in-law, Bennie Sims of Cedar Hill, Texas; six grandchildren, Kaitlin (Kandis) Lowry of Beaumont, Texas, Daniel Foster of Beaumont, Texas, Sullivan Foster of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sarah (Westin) Massey of Houston, Texas, Dyanna Rose Acuna of San Antonio, Texas and Amanda Saenz and her husband Robert of Corpus Christi, Texas, five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews including Ricky and Gary Sims.

Visitation with the family present will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial with full military honors will be conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
