William F. Faber. 93. a lifelong resident of Oshkosh died at his home, 1315 South Park avenue, Sunday morning at 1:30 o'clock. Death was due to infirmities incident to his advanced age. Mr. Faber was born in Oshkosh, Jan. 3, 1858.

He was a building contractor, built the Oshkosh city hall, operated stone quarries, and the former Revere house, which was a famous hotel in the city's earlier history, held a river captain's license, and operated boats on the Fox and Wolf rivers. He is also one of the oldest members of the Oshkosh Elks club having Joined it Jan. 2, 1897. From 1891 until 1893 the deceased had been a state assemblyman from this district.

Survivors are his wife, the former Mathilda Woller, whom Mr. Faber married Aug. 23, 1901; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Lillie of Milwaukee, Mrs. Rhea Nielsen of Oshkosh and Mrs. Marjorie Siewert of Oshkosh; one son, William Faber Jr of Oshkosh; one sister, Mrs.
Emma Critz oi Seattle, and a step-sister, Miss Pauline Siefert of Oshkosh; six grandchildren; one great-grand child; and several nieces and nephews. His first wife, the former Miss Grace Lutz, died in 1894, and a daughter, Helen, drowned in 1918.

Elks services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Konrad funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, and friends may call at the funeral home until the time of the services.
