Barbara Thomas, 73, passed away March 14, 2014, at Mercy St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Georgia, she attended Sylvania High School and was a retiree of Toledo Public School working in their maintenance department. Barbara was amember of Friendship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Sr., and daughters, Barbretta and Joyce Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memory sons, James Jr. (Bettie), and Michael Thomas; daughter, Roxann Smith; mother, Annie Moore; sister, Paulette (Blair) Chatman; five grandchildren, Denisha Lonas, Sierra Houchins, Scott Johnson, Michaela and Mya Thomas; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Willie Smith and Jerry Moore, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday 5 - 8 p.m. Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, funeral services Friday 10 a.m. Friendship Baptist Church, Bishop Duane C. Tisdale officiant, interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
