Mrs. Geraldine Norton Copeland, age 75, of Gaylesville, AL, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Mrs. Copeland was born April 16, 1940, in Lyerly, GA, daughter of the late Clifford and Lula Skinner Norton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Copeland is survived by her husband, Hugh Copeland; sons, Marvin D. "Pete" Copeland and Samuel H. Copeland; a daughter, Anita G. Pendergrass; a sister, Virginia Carleen Jones; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Copeland will be held at 1:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Friday, April 8, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny Berry and Rev. Larry Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Moseley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Dilbeck, Jamie Sutherland, Bill Norton, Joel Norton, Danny Short, Ronnie Short, Paul Short, Billy Short, and Danny Brooks.
Mrs. Norton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Thursday, April 7, 2016.
