He had been in failing health since the first of the year and critically ill for the last five weeks.
Mrs. Moore was born at Cascade the son of John and Mary J. (Royer) Moore. He had spent his lifetime in the cascade area.
As a young man he was employed as an engineer on the Western Maryland Railroad and later followed the trade of stone mason and later during WW II was employed at Ft. Ritchie.
He was a member of the Germantown Church of God.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Moore, Somerville, NJ and Samuel G. Moore Jr., Cleveland, Oh. A granddaughter, Carole, Somerville NJ; these brothers and sisters; Roy H. Moore, John E. Moore, Walter R. Moore, Mrs. Cora B. Stem, Mrs. Emily Pryor, all of Cascade; Charles H. Moore, Waynesboro R. D. 3, and Mrs. Mary Johnson, Baltimore, also survive.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 3:30 from the Germantown Bethel Church of God conducted by the Rev. Paul Moore. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday evening from 7 to 9 at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, and at the church Sunday an hour before the service.
