Samantha Kay Lee (Mullis), 30, was granted her angels wings on Sunday, April 3, 2016, due to an unexpected illness. Her final days were filled with fun family times. Sam touched her family and friends throughout her short but very memorable life. Her life will seem too short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which she lived. Her big bright smile and amazing personality could make anything better.
Between the love and care she gave to the children she taught as the assistant director at Rose’s Rascals Daycare, to the careful skill she brought with every haircut as Richmond’s favorite hairdresser, she was truly one of a kind. With Sam’s passing, we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we’ll miss our “Sambo” and mommy every day, she will forever remain in our hearts.
She leaves her husband Michael “Mikey” Lee; two sons: Ace and Jack Lee; her parents: Tom and Rose Walton Mullis; her grandmother: Lucy Walton; one brother: Toby Mullis; two sisters: Tara Zellner and Kimmy Simpson (Bo); four aunts: Debbie Fletcher, Liz Sanders (Billy), Sharon Isaacs (Lindsay) and Darlene Mullis; two uncles: Charles Mullis and Jack Mullis (Janie); her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Judy and Fred Fowles: one sister-in-law: Elizabeth Lee (Jai); two brothers-in-law: Brian and Melanie Lee and Richie and Rachel Harold, as well as, several cousins, nieces, nephews, including two special nieces: Macey Noe and Paislee King.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather: Ralph Walton; grandmother: Leatha Beabout; great-grandmother: Thelma Nantz; uncle: Albert Mullis; two aunts: Luesse Hartwell and Caroline Mullis and nephew: Jamey Simpson.
A Celebration of Life Service in memory of Samantha Lee at The Vineyard Community Church, with Pastor Joe Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
