Mr. Harold L. "Luke" Benham, 81, of the Weldon Community, Brandenburg, KY passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Norton Hospital, Louisville, KY.

He was born January 31, 1935 in New Middletown, Indiana the son of James Z. and Betty Streble Benham. Luke retired from L.G.&E. after 43 years and 10 months employment at the Muldraugh Plant. He was a lifelong member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and an avid Kentucky Wildcat Basketball fan. He loved his family, especially his grandkids and great grandsons.

Luke was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Sons, Timothy and Mark Wayne Benham, 3 brothers, James L., Lawrence, and George and an infant sister Betty Jean.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ramona Lawson Benham, his children, Rhonda (Ray) Heath, Vanessa (Dennis) Hubbard, and Scott Benham, his grandchildren, Brandy (Jason) Lee, Erin Hubbard, Keith (Leslie) Benham, Kurtis Benham, Courtney Benham and Ciara Benham, and 4 great grandsons, Mason and Owen Lee and Levi and Jake Benham.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery, Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2 until 8 PM at Hager Funeral Home, and Friday, April 8, at Bethel United Methodist Church from 10 AM until time of service.
