Florence Liebich, age 85, a resident of Plymouth, formerly of Two
Rivers, died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Valley View Medical Center,
Plymouth.
Private family services were held today June 25, 1999, at the Deja &
Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. Rev. Cynthia Little officiated at
the service. Burial followed at Pioneer's Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The former Florence Magee was born February 3, 1914, in Chicago, Ill.,
daughter of the late J.F. and Ella (Perkins) Magee. She attended schools
in Two Rivers, graduating from Washington High School with the class of
1932. She then furthered her education at Lawrence College, where she
obtained a degree in history, in 1937. On September 2, 1939, she married
Harold Liebich in Two Rivers. As their family grew, the couple became
totally involved in their children's lives. They were always very
supportive of any community or school function their children
participated in. Florence was secretary of her class at Lawrence
University and organized each reunion the class held. Before moving to
Plymouth, she was an active member of Grace Congregational United Church
of Christ and a member of the Women's Round Table. Florence was a
devoted wife and mother who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Carl Liebich, Plymouth, Christine
Liebich, Plymouth, Cynthia (Charles) Reff, Appleton; one grandson, Rob
Reff, Appleton; one sister-in-law, Clara Magee, Milwaukee; one
brother-in-law, George (Janice) Liebich, Two Rivers. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Harold on November 17, 1978 and by a brother,
Allan Magee.
