Genevieve "Gennie" Pace

March 20, 1937 - March 29, 2016

 Genevieve "Gennie" Yates Pace, age 79, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in a Mt. Pleasant, Texas hospital. Gennie was born March 20, 1937 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Robert Frank Yates and Ruby May Evans Yates.

Gennie was a nursing home administrator. She was a member at First Baptist Church in Naples, Texas. Gennie was very family-oriented. She enjoyed doing genealogy work, photography, reading, and watching westerns.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pace; her parents; and one brother, Richard Yates.

Surviving family members include one son, Steve Sims of Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and Lynn Jinks of Omaha; one sister, Arlene Franklin of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Quinnia Yates of Rochester Hills, Michigan; two grandchildren, Justin Jinks and wife Shannon of Omaha, and Jamie Cobb and husband Chris of Naples; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Jinks, Calan Cobb, and Addilyn Cobb; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.


Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Harrison Funeral Chapel in Naples with Bro. Bryan Peck officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Coleman Cemetery in Coleman, Oklahoma.
