Mrs. Hattie Gray


Roscoe, Dec. 16 - Mrs. Hattie Gray, 69, of Sweetwater, was buried here Tuesday after funeral services in Sweetwater. She died Sunday in a Baytown hospital after having suffered a stroke on Nov. 30.


Mrs. Gray was a member of a pioneer Scurry County family. Her husband, a former deputy sheriff of Mitchell County, died in 1928.


Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. W. E. Scott of Sweetwater, Mrs. D. W. McGregor, Mrs. Shirley Dodd and Mrs. M. W. Wallace of Baytown and Mrs. Noma Gill of Abilene; and three sons, Wallace and Elmer Gray of Baytown and J. C. Gray of Sweetwater.
