Italian football manager and player. He played for Italian club A.C. Milan from 1954 to 1966, also later coaching the side. A commanding, elegant, and respected defender, with good technique, discipline, and an excellent ability to read the game, he was known for his leadership, consistency, and tactical versatility. He was the father of Paolo Maldini, who also played for A.C. Milan.
