Jean Blades Chance passed into heaven, Sept. 7, 2014. Born on Nov. 6, 1927, she spent most of her childhood in Bethlehem, Md.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon, who now resides at Envoy (visitors welcome); and by her children: Donna, Wayne and Debby. Her son, Vernon Jr. passed in 1982. She was a farmer’s wife, then worked for A&P, and then at the Newscenter in Easton.
She was very active in her community, Heritage, at the Wesleyan Center, where she and her husband, Vernon, lived for the last 10 years.
She was also active in her church, First Wesleyan Church, in Denton, at 811 Market Street; where a life celebration will be held for her at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. All are welcome to participate.
