SPRINGFIELD - Dixie Barrington, 65, of Springfield died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at St. John's Hospice.

She was born Aug. 25, 1937, in Greenview, the daughter of John Taylor and Stella Summers Bradley.

She married William R. Barrington in 1967 in Springfield; he died in 1985.

Mrs. Barrington was a waitress for 37 years, working at Fritz Paradise for 27 years and at Dixie Barbecue.

She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and FOE 437.

Survivors: a stepson, William D. Barrington of Quincy; three stepdaughters, Tina (husband, Rick) Brontine of Hull, Carrie (husband, Mark) Motley of Arrine and Catrice James of Rushville; several grandchildren; a brother, Donald Bradley of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mary Leach of Edinburg and Louise David of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services: 9:30 a.m. Friday, Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, the Rev. H. Warren Wilkewitz officiating.

Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
