Mrs. Fanny Winona Phillips, 63, well known resident of Spraggs, R.D. 1, died of a heart attack at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1947, in her home, following an illness of several years. She was the wife of T. W. Phillips, who survives.
Born March 21, 1884, the deceased was a daughter of the late James E. and Mary Jane Batson Dulaney. She spent most of her life in Wayne and Perry Townships. A member of the Spraggs Methodist Church, she was active in the W.S.C.S. of that church. She was also a long-standing member of the W.C.T.U.
The last of a family of 12 children, she is survived by the following sons and daughters: Stanley Phillips, Spraggs R.D. 1; Paul Phillips, Mt. Morris; Mrs. Morris Strawn, Spraggs R.D. 1; Mrs. Leroy Pettit, Washington; Mrs. Edna Zimmereman, at home; Mrs. Stanley Moore, Kuhntown and Mrs. Robert Zimmerman, Spraggs, R.D. 1 One son, McCann Phillips, is deceased.
Sixteen grandchildren and one niece, Mrs. A. R. Scott, of Clarksville, W. Va., also survive.
