She was my best friend, i hope to be half the person she was . I will never forget her, she is my hopes and my dreamsJulie was born in the Boston City Hospital Sanatorium in Mattapan, Massachusetts and is named after her two grandmothers-Julia and Annie. Her mother was ill with Tuberculosis when Julie was born in the sanatorium. Julie lived with various family members in Boston and New York. At less than the age of 2 her mother succumbs to TB. Julie spends time with both her aunts (Martha and Ruth) in New York and her Grandmother, Annie Heap, in Dorchester. Her father remarries and his new wife wants nothing to do with little Julie. Since her father, Henry, is in the Navy and he cannot care for her, she is placed in the Wartburg Farm School in New York. There is a lot of turmoil while at the school for Julie. She continued to visit family members while there. Julie is finally reunited with her father, who she adores. He has retired from the navy and is going to reunite the whole family in Virginia, but in less than a week from retiring he is dead. Julie at the age of 15 was on her own. She eventually meets and marries Thomas Edward Fox. They marry on Aug. 4, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY, but they divorce in 1976 and remarry on April 1977. They have 7 children, 5 sons and 2 daughters. Julie becomes an antique and treasures dealer in both New York and Alabama. Julie had 4 half siblings – Henry Martin of California, Henry Luther, Linda and Marie , all of New York. She left behind 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandkids.
