On June 12, 1900 when the U.S. Census was Enumerated in Galveston, TX, George Boening (2 years of age) was living with his father William Boening, his mother Margaret Pruessner Boening his 2 siblings Ada and Fritz and his uncle Henry Pruessner. The two men were in the dairy business together and the home was on the North side of Ave. O near 75th Street, Down Island. The entire Household was lost when the Hurricane hit the Island on Sept. 8, 1900.
