In failing health for the past year, Mrs. Emma Lauber, 81, of 2213 Washington St., Two Rivers, died Friday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital, where she had been a patient a week.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday at the Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 2 pm at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. W.G. Haase officiating. Burial will be in Pioneers’ Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. Lauber, nee Emma Mandel, was born in the Town of Two Rivers on June 9, 1875, daughter of the late Fred and Johanna Wilsmann Mandel. She was married at St. John Church, Two Rivers, on Nov. 5?, 1898 to Adam Lauber who died at Two Rivers on Oct. 28, 1937. For many years Mrs. Lauber was active in affairs of St. John church and had been a member of its Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving Mrs. Lauber are three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Adler of Milwaukee; Mrs. Alma Elbers of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Walter Celle of Two Rivers, a son, Carl Lauber of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Ida Schumann of Fort Atkinson; four brothers, Fred Mandel of Gregory, S.D, Albert of Fremont, Neb., Julius of the Town of Two Rivers and a grandson, (private).

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 am Sunday.
