She worked as a bookkeeper for Aroostook Federation of Farmers, Potato Service Inc., McCain Foods, and Keith Nelson Insurance Agency.
Dorothy was a long time and active member of First Baptist Church of Woodland serving as Sunday school teacher, Superintendent, and Treasurer. She always had coffee and cinnamon rolls available for her friends and family to enjoy.
She was an avid quilter, making custom made quilts for each of her grandchildren and children. Quilting on the big table on the porch at camp was a favorite way to relax and enjoy the lake.
She is survived by two sons and their wives; Jeffrey and Ruth Peterson of Brewer, Robert and Joyce Peterson of Woodland, two daughters and their husbands; Deborah and Gary Cameron of Caribou, Ruth and Randy Gauvin of Farmington, a sister Ruth Goff of Mount Pocono, PA., thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George Peterson in 1993, a brother Colby Buzzell, three sisters; Margaret Stevens, Elizabeth Buzby, Irene Lau and a grandchild Sally Sandra Peterson.
