Children: Infant Blankenship, Mary W., James S., Eva Ruth Prince/Atteberry, Iva Mae (Ivy) Gilbert, Elvin Elmer Houston, and Infant Female Blankenship.

Death of Esteemed Lady. Mrs. John Blankenship Dies at Her Home.After suffering for many months from cancer, the last two months of which she had been confined to her bed, Mrs. Margaret Blankenship, wife of John Blankenship, who reside on the Farmersville road just each of the city limits, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning.Mrs. Blankenship's maiden name was Miss Margaret Russell, and she was the sister of Messrs. George, Charlie and Frank Russell of this city, and Sims Russell of Sherman. She was bout 48 years of age, and is survived by her husband and three children, two daughters and one son as follows: Misses Eva and Ivy and Elmer Blankenship. Mrs. Blankenship was a member of the Christian church at Princeton and funeral services were held at that place at 3 o'clock this afternoon, by Eld G. W. Taylor of this city, the interment being made at the Princeton cemetery.

Mrs. Blankenship was a good woman and leave many friends, with whom we join in extending condolence to her husband, children and relatives. She leaves a husband two daughters, Misses Eva and Ivy and one son, Elmer. Besides these she leaves an aged mother and six brothers John Russell of Chattanooga, Ok., Sims Russell of Sherman, Lige Russell of Farmersville, George, Charley and Frank Russell of this city and one sister Mrs. Ida Hall of West Texas. She also leaves a host of friends to mourn her death. Her remains were laid to rest at Milligan cemetery. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Sims Russell and wife of Sherman, Lige Russell and wife and Billie Russell of Farmerville. (McKinney Democrat Gazette, November 12, 1903, page 12)
