Joseph E. Ringwald, age 86, of Alliance, died at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 16, 2006, at Altercare of Alliance.
He was born Oct. 17, 1919, in Alliance, Ohio, to Frederick and Caroline (Yarian) Ringwald and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Ringwald retired in 1981 from Transue and Williams Company as a truck driver after 18 years. He was formerly employed at B & W Rush Street plant for 22 years.
He was a member of the First Church of God, where he was a former youth leader, usher and trustee and worked on several church boards. He was also a member of the Transue and Williams Retirees and Civil Conservation Corps. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Mr. Ringwald was a U.S. Navy W.W. II veteran having served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.
Survivors include his daughter, son, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one sister, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lena Mae (Coss) Ringwald, whom he married Feb. 5, 1941, and who passed away Nov. 17, 1995; and brother, Frederick Ringwald Jr.
