Sandra Renee Beem, 55, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Sandy was born October 9, 1960, in Des Moines, to Richard and Margaret (Callahan) Rinehart at their home. She was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church, raised in Des Moines and graduated from East High School in 1979. Sandy married James Allen Beem on August 23, 1980, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Des Moines. She had worked at the Merle Hay Mall Target for ten years retiring in 2006 when she had her stroke.
Sandy enjoyed sewing, camping, gardening and spending time outdoors. Her greatest passion was spending time with Jim watching their children and grandchildren grow. Sandy loved to have fun and will always be remembered for being the life of the party.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Jim, her children, Jeremy Beem, Kristin Gordon, Stephanie Beem, Jeff Beem and Michelle Beem, all of Des Moines; five brothers, Rick (Mary) Rinehart, John Rinehart, Kelly (Lynne) Rinehart, Kevin Rinehart and Daniel (Becky) Rinehart; five sisters, Bobbi Rinehart, Peggy Mohan, Susan (Robert) Bledsoe and Robin Renda; and her grandchildren, Chloe, Connor, Reilly, Kaylee, Christian, Caleb, Livia, Korbin, Leyna, and Gage; and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jolene Rinehart
