CANASTOTA >> James F. Warner, 76, of 30 E. Grago Blvd., Canastota, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at his home with his family by his side, following a brief illness.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1939, in Canastota, the son of John "Jack" and Harriett (Whaley) Warner Bellino.
Jim lived in Canastota most of his life, attending the Canastota schools.
He was a carpenter for 60 years, retiring in 2013. He worked for Kwik Fill, Clean Sweep, George Warner Construction, Keller Construction, Marty Hubbard Construction, Howe and Farrell Construction, and Fisher Farms.
Jim enjoyed going to the camp in Remsen, and spending time with his family.
He married Roberta "Bobbie" Blowers on June 10, 1961, in Canastota.
Surviving besides his wife, Bobbie, are: a son and daughter-in-law, Jaimie and Rosanne Warner of Canastota; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sissie and Tim Stevens of Canastota, and Jackie and Andy Skinner of Blossvale; an adopted daughter, Heather Kimpel of Sylvan Beach; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, George Warner of Munnsville, John Warner of Whitelaw, Robert Sr., and Patricia Bellino of Whitelaw, Lynn Warner of Rome, and Shirley Francisco of Camden; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucetta Barber of Kirkville, and Judy and John Pinard of Whitelaw; nine grandchildren, Stephanie and Andrew Brumber, Dillon Stevens, Nathan Warner, Danyele Warner, Gary Skinner, Randi Skinner, Isaac Smith, Jacob Smith, and James Anthony Warner; three great-grandchildren, Austin Brumber, Mason Brumber, and Violet Warner; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special nephew, Roy Blowers Jr. Jim was predeceased by a son, James F. Warner Jr.; a granddaughter, Nicole Lee Stevens; three brothers, Roger Warner, Edward Warner, and Lawrence "Larry" Warner; and three sisters, Joyce Warner, Harriett Bellino, and Kathryn Humennyji.
A Celebration of his Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at ZEM's, 125 Hickory St., Canastota. At Jim's request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota. In his memory, contributions may be made to the Whitelaw Presbyterian Church, 8865 N. Main St., Canastota, N.Y. 13032, or to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, N.Y. 13413.
