Douds Lala B. Brown, 80, of rural Douds died at 12:17 p.m. April 14, 1988 in the emergency room of Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.
She was born Oct. 31, 1907, in Davis County to Sherman and Elizabeth Jones Snook. She married Harold Brown Dec. 24, 1924 at Eldon. They lived south of Douds.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mary Kjos of Stillwater, Minn,; a son Roscoe of Floris; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters Pauline Corder of Deming, N.M., and Audrey McClurg of Batavia. She was preceded in death by a son, Franklin, and a daughter, Gelene.
The service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, the Reverend Stephen Conte officiating.
Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds.
Visitation is open.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
