He was born October 21, 1973 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Harry and Joyce Beasley Strickland.
Bruce was a cement mason out of Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local # 132 and a 1993 Northwest High School graduate.
He was a talented athlete and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a very devoted father who cherished his daughter dearly; Bruce inspired many and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Adrian Rain Strickland of Charlotte, North Carolina; five sisters, Linda (Terry) Kirkendall, Anita (Mark) Adams, Kelly (Bob) Lute, Leigh Anne (Kevin) Abner, and Patsy (Mickey) Prose all of Lucasville; two brothers, Ron (Robyn) Strickland of Lucasville and Rodney (Cindy) Strickland of South Shore, Ky; nieces and nephews, Trudy (like a sister), Monique, Mallory, Ronnie, Shannon, Shelly, Tyler, Monte, Bobbie Lou, Nicholas, Daniel, Sophia, Harrison, Travis, and Marie; great nieces and nephews, Ally, Paige, Steven, Landon, Layken, Zoey, Summer, William, Sam, Alex, and Eli; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Bruce was also preceded in death by his brother Monte Strickland.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Rushtown Cemetery with his uncle Ted Strickland (Ohio governor) officiating.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville
