Born Oct. 5, 1923, in East Peoria to George and Mary Schmidgall Hagerty, he married Gerry Lynn Kurth in 1984. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Ethel Stevens and Mary Ann DeYoung.
He had worked for Caterpillar Inc. and the Rock Island Railroad.
Cremation has been accorded.
