At her residence at R. R. #2, Hespeler, on Saturday afternoon, [August 18, 1962], in her 93rd year. Wife of the late William James Aikens. Stepmother of Thomas and James R. Aikens, both of R. R. #2, Hespeler. Also survived by a sister, Mrs. Jane Krueger of Guelph. Predeceased by one step-son and one step-daughter. She had been in failing health for the past four years. Born in Puslinch Township on Feb. 11, 1870, her father was the late Thomas Paddock and her mother the late Elizabeth Mallet. She was a life-long resident of the district and was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Hespeler. Her husband predeceased her in 1927. Service at the Stager-Nelson Funeral Home, 23 Galt St. in Hespeler on Tues. Aug. 21 at 2: 30. Interment Hespeler Cemetery.
