(1926-2020)

Mrs. Dorothy Moore Rigdon Travis, age 93, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Pioneer Trace Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

She was born July 11, 1926, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Leslie and Clara Sartin Moore.

Dorothy was a member of the Stone Lick Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, canning and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Tillman Travis; one grandson, Dwayne Doyle; one granddaughter, Debbie Doyle McKinney; one great grandson, Dustin McKinney; one son in-law; Ronnie Doyle; six brothers, Harold Moore, Wilford Moore, Charles Moore, Ray Moore, Eugene Moore and Ralph Moore; and two sisters, Alma McClurg and Joyce Moore.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Donna Patton (Allen) of Tollesboro, Kentucky, Judy Doyle of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Marla Jackson (Mike) of Maysville, Kentucky; four grandchildren; Alan Wayne Patton, Jaime Patton, Aaron Jackson and Grant Jackson; and one sister, Carol Pollitte of Maysville, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Tollesboro Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with Brother Arthur Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Black Oak Cemetery in Black Oak, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Tollesboro Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky 41189.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to direct all donations to Hospice of Hope at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Kentucky, or Stone Lick Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Moore Rigdon Travis.
