While living in Pierre she worked for the Green Thumb Project for many years and was a member of the Pierre Senior Citizens. Alice was a seamstress and did alterations during her lifetime. She also loved to sew, knit, and crochet. She died on Saturday, February 16, 2002, at the Beverly Healthcare Center, Salem. She had reached the age of 95 years, 5 months, and 12 days.
She is survived by a son Ronald E. “Bud” Glawe and his wife Shirley of Sioux Falls, a daughter Judy Sabers and her husband Keith of Salem, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three sisters, Joyce Kneip and her husband Robert, and Ellen Larson all of Arlington, and Esther Reich of California; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, a daughter Rowna, three brothers, and one sister.
