Katherine Bieber Taken By Death In 77th Year
Mrs. Katherine Bieber, 77, died Saturday, June 23, in a local hospital following an extended illness. A native of Russia, she came to the United States when she was 14 years old and lived with her parents at Bowdle, S.D.
Mrs. Bieber married John Bieber in 1904 in South Dakota and later moved to homestead near Mott, N.D. In 1951 she moved to Lodi where she resided at 224 Eden St.
She was the wife of the late John Bieber of Minot, N.D. and was a member of American Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Bieber was the mother of ten children. They are Edward Bieber of Missoula, Mont., Edwin J. Bieber of Mott, N.D., Mrs. Martha Rothgarn of Lodi, and Sister Anna Bieber, a Lutheran deaconess in Milwaukee.
Also Mrs. Bertha Schiermeister of Bismarck, N.D., Miss Frieda L. Bieber of Lodi, Mrs. Hilda Mueller of Lodi, Arthur F. Bieber of Sacramento, Otto A. Bieber of Davenport, Iowa, and Herbert E. Bieber of Sacramento.
Mrs. Bieber was the sister of Mrs. Mary Buechler of Bowdle, S.D., Mrs. Christina Buechler Bowdle of S.D., Mrs. Regina Schick of Elk Grove, and Ed Eisenbeisz of Elk Grove.
Other survivors include 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Burial in Cherokee Memorial Park.
