Darrell Roscoe Austin, 82, of 120 E. Baltimore St., died Friday evening at Washington County Hospital. Born in Iowa, he was the son of John and Julia Frush Austin. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Gorsuch Austin; two step-daughters, Mrs. Hilda Wilhelm and Mrs. Leona Garrish, both of Hagerstown; two step-sons, Robert W. Gearhart of Hagerstown and John Gearhart of Kenosha, Wis.; one brother, Loren Austin of Detour; and 11 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Coffman Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Broadfording Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7 to 9. The family requests the omission of flowers.
