He was born in Minersvillage, Cornwall, on January 10, 1926, to the late Myer and Helen Leibig Wenger. Robert was a Cornwall High School graduate. He had served proudly in the US Navy during WWII. Robert owned Wenger Store in Rexmont, PA. He was a member of Cornwall United Methodist Church and of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge. Robert was a member of the Lebanon Country Club for more than 50 years, where he enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed bowling, skiing, watching horse racing, and playing pinochle.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda and husband Larry Schlipf of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, two step grandchildren, sisters, Janice Middour of Fayetteville, PA and Constance Kershner of Quentin, brother Thomas Wenger and wife Amy of New Cumberland, and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Zellers.
