Dorothy E. "Dottie" Wenger, 77, of 10 Truman St., Palmyra, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at home. She was the wife of Robert M. Wenger, with whom she would have celebrated a 59th wedding anniversary Feb. 10. Born June 25, 1926, in West Cornwall Township, she was a daughter of the late Ralph W. and Mae E. Hershey Paine. She and her husband were the owners of Wenger's Store, Rexmont. She was a 1944 graduate of Cornwall High School, where she was class valedictorian. She was a member of Cornwall United Methodist Church; Lebanon Country Club, where she was nine times Women's Club Champion; and Harrisburg District and Central Penn women's golf associations. She was an avid golfer and skier. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter Linda, wife of Larry Schlipf of Ponte Verda Beach, Fla.; brothers Ralph H. Paine of Manheim, Robert W. Paine of Lebanon RD 4 and John G. Paine of Anniston, Ala.; sisters Vivian Hartman of Palmyra and Diane Hamerly of Pittsburgh. Her funeral and interment in Cornwall Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville, is handling arrangements.
