Jack served in the U. S. Army 1946 – 1947 with the occupation forces in Japan. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering. While living in New Jersey he was an active volunteer, serving as President of the YMCA and the Mental Health Association. Jack also served as Vice President of the Rumson Fair Haven Regional School Board. After moving to Hot Springs, he was a member of the Hot Springs Republican Party, the Documentary Film Festival and Jazz Society.
He is predeceased by his parents and two sons, Jeffrey A. Gauch and Craig A. Gauch.
Loving survivors include his wife of 64 years, daughter, daughter-in-law six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be 1:00 P.M.,Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Arkansas Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.
