Widow Charlotte (sic) Hill, 83, born Jonesboro, Maine, died on February 21, 1889, at her home on Union Street in Milltown, N.B. Dr. Todd said she died of old age and the duration of her illness was three months (N.B. Death Certificate)

In the 1871 Canada Census, merchant Abner Hill, 72, born N.B., was living in St. Stephen Parish, N.B. with Elizabeth, 66, born U.S.; and lumberman Wesley, 42, born N.B.; teacher Margaret Campbell, 40, born N.B.; servant Melisa Young, 31, born N.B.; and servant James Robinson, 35, born Ireland.
They lived next to George and Jane Hill.

In the 1851 N.B. Census, lumberer Abner Hill, 51, born N.B., was living in St. Stephen Parish with Elizabeth, 46; millman Murow, 28; millman Wesley, 22; millman Horatio, 20; Phoeba A., 18; Margarett, 21; George A., 12; and Fredetrick, 12, all native born.

Marriages; In St. Stephen, no date, by Rev. Clark, Abner Hill Jr. to Betsey Whitney of Jonesboro (Eastport Sentinel, November 3, 1821)

Elizabeth was the daughter of Ephraim Whitney and Sarah Noyes.
