Mrs. Hamlin, aged about 75 years, who has been cared for they the town for a number of years past, died suddenly on Sunday last while at work in the garden at her home. The old lady has been in poor health for some years.
When found by her neighbors, a faithful dog which has been her companion was by her side and would allow no one near the body. The faithful animal had to be killed before the remains could be taken to the house.
